Easily the best dining experience in the Philly area. The food is excellent, and the front of house is really on point. The ambiance is exactly the right amount of hustle and bustle to provide privacy of conversation in a otherwise (wonderfully) close/cozy seating space. The timing between courses is bizarrely perfect (making me want to do it again just to make sure they pull that off every night!). It all really allows for a person to just sit, enjoy conversation, and experience some amazing food. Food-wise I was most blown away by the perfect amount of fennel in the sausage. My wife would have ordered the gnocchi for every course. Each course was excellent and I could go on and on about the little unique points in each course— but at $75/person for a prefix meal, splurge a little and try it yourself. It’s easily worth twice that.

The food is good but too oily. A lot of oil is everywhere, salads, pasta, and main course. I asked not to put oil, and I still got a lot of oil. After I left the restaurant, I felt thirsty and had heartburn. In addition, the price is $55 for three courses and $75 for four. You also might pay an upcharge if you select something outside of preselected food. I think for the price I pay they should not charge upcharge. There is a good selection of vegetarian food like salads and pasta. The restaurant is very dark. The only way to read the menu is by using a flashlight. The tables are so close to each other that you can hear everything people are talking to next to you. In addition, the aisle is so narrow that servers and people constantly bump your chair if you sit in the middle of the row. Finally, the seats don't have mats; they are too hard. The service is GREAT! Speedy and pleasant personnel. The price was $170 for one three-course and one four-course menu, not including tips. Overall: Good food, GREAT service, very overpriced, and not the best environment. I would not take my partner for a special occasion to this place.

Can’t say enough about how great the food is. Best, fresh tasting, and the flavors jump off the plate, roll around your taste buds, then into your mouth!! My wife ordered the swordfish. My taste for seafood starts and stops at fish sticks and fried shrimp::;;;But, I tasted my wife’s, and let me tell you,,was flavorful-a cross between a light pleasant fish , chicken, and a steak. I know that sounds weird, but I will order the swordfish next time. The antipasta board was very fresh and all the meats and cheeses complemented each other. The pesto gnocchi was unlike any gnocchi I ever had, considering my Italian aunts homemade the standard gnocchi- potato or sausage wrapped in dough. Zeppoli’s version is a very light dough with a light cheese and spinach-an inside out gnocchi. Very light and although filling, did not give you the carb, starchy, lead on your stomach feeling. This meal was the best Italian meal I have had since Rome Italy, ten years ago. The pasta was tasty and melted in your mouth. Can’t wait to ho back. Great staff also.

The quality of the food is very high in this rustic Sicilian restaurant. Homely and hearty dishes, liberal in olive oil. The ricotta gnocchi are only second to those I had in Fiorella in Philadelphia, and only by a tiny bit. The rabbit stew was excellent. And the canoli the best I had in my life. With a price tag of $75 for a 4-course meal, this restaurant is as expensive as several 1star Michelin restaurants in DC and NYC. But I don't think I have found this flavor profile anywhere else so far, so I believe this restaurant is unique for this reason.

I am a big believer in supporting smaller restaurants and Zeppoli is a collingswood favorite.. however last night the $200 we spend was extremely disappointing.. the food was excessively salty ( how do you manage to make even a side salad to be salty?), ribeye steak was rare even though we asked for it to be medium and large portion had too much fat , fisherman stew was inedible- again excessively salty.. also not sure if the heat was turned on at the restaurant.. the only highlight was the bread and the dessert..not sure if the original owners no longer there but as I read thru some of the reviews, but some of these complaints are coming up. Not going back.

The ambience was dim & great for date night. The chairs were a bit slippery lol. My boyfriend and I did the pre-fixe 3 course pasta option. We shared the antipasto, which had a lot. It probably could've used more meats & cheeses. I got the pesto which I really liked. My boyfriend got the lemon pasta, which he really seemed to enjoy. I thought it may have been a little too lemony/intense. We ended with the cannolis and the zeppolis which were tasty. The place is BYOB which is nice. The staff was very friendly. Went on 10/5/2023

It’s a lovely, intimate restaurant. They have a price fixe menu right now which is the main reason why I think it’s a four and not a five. While the food was good, I didn’t think it was good enough to justify the price. The choices are a three course which includes an appetizer, pasta and dessert or a four course with an appetizer, pasta and dessert. I wish they had the info about the differences in courses on the website so we could’ve been prepared, especially since their card machine was broken and it was cash only. We wanted entrees so we got the more expensive four course option. Courses are perfect portions to finish all for the night. I think the anti pasta was my favorite course. The grilled veggies were fresh and I loved the selection of meats and cheeses. I found their pastas to be okay, but nothing super special. For dinner, I had the seafood stew, which was delicious. We also had the rabbit which we enjoyed. Other than the appetizer, the second best thing we ate was the gelato! It was out of this world amazing and creamy. I could eat it all day. We also had the chocolate cake which was too dry and bitter for me. Service was good. They have a guy plucking songs on a mandolin which was so cute and added to the atmosphere. Overall, if they got rid of the set course menu, I would definitely return! However, I don’t find it worth the price for the experience now.

Excellent service, excellent dessert - all the food we had was SOOOOO salty. And we are people that love salty food! The amount of salt honestly ruined the meal, we packed it up to take home and try to fix at home. The food is presented beautifully and the ingredients are tasteful, but the salt unfortunately over powered everything. We definitely would have rated 4-5 stars if the food wasn’t so salty. Everything else was great.
